ABOUT BOB REIDA native of South Georgia, Bob Reid enjoys using tools and his imagination to create items of both practical and artistic value with slate, stone, wood, glass, crystal, plastic and new materials. He employs all of his creativity in his daily work at PSS Signs in Newnan, Georgia.
He received his Masters in Fine Arts in Technical Theatre and Lighting Design from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and has taught at Mercer University in Atlanta. Since returning to the South in 1981, Reid has worked in the convention/display industry, prop development for several movies and has his own custom sign & glass business in downtown Newnan on Jackson Street. Reid maintains his curiosity and willingness to experiment and grow as a craftsman and an artist. He now resides in Newnan, Georgia with his wife and two little, yappy dogs named Gracie & Bear. Their only daughter is an opera singer in Europe who will be married here in Newnan in late July to her German fiancé. |
